Motivation and Classroom Acitivites to Teach College Essay WritingOne of the most important skills you can have to be successful in your college or university classroom is being able to understand how to motivate and educate your students. Most of the best teachers that are really successful come to understand this very well. Motivation is what makes a classroom a good classroom, because it allows the student to learn. It is the teacher's job to make sure that all of the students who are in that class are learning and becoming knowledgeable. Some classrooms are full of students who want to do poorly, but cannot because they do not understand why they are doing poorly. A good classroom can bring out great results in student performance, but students must learn how to apply themselves. They must learn how to do their own work and be motivated to do their best work. This is the reason why most teachers learn the art of teaching their students from a person, a teacher, who is a good writer . It is the writer's job to encourage and make their students' love writing, and to understand how the process works and why they should love to write. It is not about getting the students to like writing for the sake of writing. It is about understanding how writing can make a difference in your life. It is the teacher's job to create a classroom environment that will inspire and motivate students to become better writers. Motivation is the very core of writing. There are many ways to encourage writing in a classroom. For example, some teachers encourage students to write short stories or essays by telling them that their essays will be part of an assignment. They may give short prompts that encourage them to write short stories or essays. The idea is to encourage students to feel like they are not alone and that writing is a social activity that can affect other people. Another way that writing can be encouraged in a classroom is by having a few notes on your desk and/or at your stu dent's school and library resources, with a hand-written title, and a short description of what you are hoping to accomplish. You can have the professor send you an email reminding you about your essay or ask you to pick up a pencil and start writing. It is up to you how many notes you decide to put on your desk, but it is better than nothing. When teachers encourage students to do their own writing, it is not as much about making the students feel 'alone' but more about making them feel free to express themselves and have fun. It is also more about creating a 'challenge' for the students to create something on their own. Making a statement that writing can make a difference, and creating a 'battle' is also a good motivator. Using this technique to encourage writing and to make sure that all of the students get the message is a great way to make sure that the writing process flows. There are a lot of ways to motivate students to be better writers in a classroom, and a teacher can lear n a lot from observing other teachers and seeing what works. So, if you are the teacher, just keep reading and try these strategies and methods to motivate your students to write better essays.
